Day five

To, Sawyer is a trickster who finds loopholes and takes the easier way around, assuming he knows how. Here's how he manages to get the fence painted easily.

  1. His friend walks by asking him to play.
  2. He says he can't because he's stuck painting a fence
  3. They ask if they can help
  4. He say no, because it requires so much "expertise"
  5. They are now hooked onto the idea that they want to paint the fence
  6. He argues with them a little longer and lets them try if they give him something in return (ie: an apple or a toy boat) and they be really careful.
  7. They whitewash the fence and he gets something for free!
If only that worked nowadays.

"Aw come on! Can't I try to do your algebra?"
"Alright, if you're really careful"

Day 4

Mark twain got the idea for his character, Tom Sawyer, from a combination of three people from his childhood. A few of his adventures were his, and the rest were either made up, or from his other friends.

I have already read this book so I know for the most part what will happen. Here are the events I remember:

  • Him having to paint a fence so he tricks his friends into giving him stuff for a chance to paint the fence.
  • Him and his friend witnessing someone commit a crime (I think it was either murder of blackmail) so they swear not to say anything about it, but they do in court
  • Them running away to an island to trick everyone else. Tom sneaks back to eavesdrop on his mother. Then when they come back, he says that the things he heard from his mother were in a dream. His younger brother ends up snitching and Tom and his friends get some large-scale punishment
  • Him getting married to a girl by the name of Becky Thatcher
  • Him and Becky getting lost in a cave and finding that other guy who they saw commit the crime in the cave. He ends up finding a way out by using a trial and error and a kite line to get back to the start location. He eventually finds a way out along with a boatload of cash. They make it out and Tom and Huck split the riches. The criminal guy dies.

Day Three

If I were living in the 1800's, I would pretty much not be me. I like to use computers and do other things you wouldn't be able to dream of doing back then. I probably wouldn't be able to compare myself to myself. Obviously, the things that wouldn't exist are:

  • laptop
  • desktop computer
  • programming
  • happiness
The list goes on!

Tom Sawyer Day 2

The term Mark Twain was interesting to Samuel Clemens. He liked how it meant safe water. He like the term so much, he adopted it as his pen name. What I know about Mark Twain is that he was a writer, inventor, and explorer. He wrote many books, like Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn. He also invented and patented the Self Stamping Album. He went down south to journey around. He was also very rich.

Day 1 one ett uno један vienas jeden 한 moja un en isa адзін siji

I think life in the south was eevil! There was slavery, war, and a bunch of other stuff. You traveled a lot on water. Women could say whatever they wanted as long as they said, "bless their heart."
